A Decade Commitment to Every Child's Mind


Some promises are made to a child. This one is made to a generation.


Family First Foundation has spent twenty-five years working from a single conviction: that opportunity should never be rationed by ZIP code. Today that conviction meets its largest test yet.


Artificial intelligence is already shaping how children think, write, question, and reason. Right now, in the way they're already using it, unsupervised, unstructured, unquestioned, many are training themselves to hand their thinking over to a machine before anyone has taught them not to.


That is not a future risk. It is happening in homes and classrooms today.


Trained early instead, the same tool can do the opposite: sharpen judgment, protect authorship, build the habit of verification before the shortcut ever becomes normal.


That is the premise behind the Fourth-Grade Village Promise: free AI Driver's Education for every K-12 student in America, delivered at a cost smaller than a pencil, seventy cents per student, per year, sustained over a full decade of a child's education.


This is not a pilot. It is a national commitment, built on two years of real deployment across more than 20 school sites and 6,000+ students, in partnership with the Artificial Intelligence Institute.


This is our vision: a national village where every K-12 child in America has the chance to learn how to think first, before AI ever gets the chance to think for them.


We can't build a village that size by ourselves. We're finding our way toward the people, researchers, educators, technologists, and partners of every kind, who might feel the same pull toward this that we do.


Before artificial intelligence becomes a habit, every child deserves to learn how to remain the thinker.


This is our dream. We're building it either way.
