The Village We're Building

Twenty-five years ago, Family First Foundation started from a simple bet: that a child's future shouldn't be decided by circumstances they didn't choose. Every program since has been an attempt to make that bet real.

The Fourth-Grade Village Promise is the largest version of that bet yet, a commitment to give every K-12 student in America the training to remain a thinker in the age of artificial intelligence, built on a framework already proven across two years and more than 6,000 students.

No foundation builds something at national scale alone. It takes a village in the truest sense: researchers who ask hard questions of the data, technologists who extend what we've built, and people who feel the same pull we do toward protecting how an entire generation learns to think.

We think about this less like a program and more like a promise we intend to keep for a long time. If that's the kind of thing you want to be part of building, years from now, we'd like to know you.
